2 cocktails for NYE

Now’s the time to start planning what you'll be serving your guests before dinner. Or after. Or just what tipple to enjoy to enter in 2016.

Here at Freixenet we love cocktails and we asked for some help...Ben from Twenty First Century Gent shares two handy and exclusive Freixenet based cocktails to be enjoyed for NYE. 

Seelbach Cocktail

Ingridients 

  • 30ml Bourbon
  • 15ml Cointreau
  • 7 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut
  • Glass: flute
  • Garnish: lemon twist

Method

  1. Mix the bourbon, Cointreau and bitters in a mixing glass over ice.
  2. Strain into the champagne flute and top up with Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut.
  3. Garnish with a lemon twist.
  4. Enjoy!

Berry Fizz

Ingriedients

  • 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1  bottle of Freixenet Cordon Negro 
  • 100ml pomegranate juice
  • 100ml cranberry juice
  • Glass: tumbler
  • Garnish: 2 sprigs mint and 1 slice of lime

Method

  1. Heat the water, sugar and most of the cranberries over a pan for five minutes until it turns to a syrup.
  2. Leave it to cool on the side.
  3. Spoon into the bottom of the tumbler. Add the juice and the the Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut.
  4. Garnish with the remaining cranberries, lime and mint.
  5. Cheers to 2016!
