December heralds the real beginning of the winter season, the jingling of Christmas bells and the prospect of eating, drinking and celebrating with family and friends.
Fiona from blog Fifimcgee shares her exclusive decor tips and cocktail to get ready for the season.
"For a winter gathering dinner party, my go to table dressing is frosted glass flutes for cocktails and rustic silver candles accompanied by wild flowers as a centrepiece. I often decorate the table with teeny tiny bells as a little conversation starter! But you could also use silver confetti."
"My dinnerware and placemats are all from Denby, and have a pretty silver pattern running through everything to match the scheme. I like to keep the look simple so that all the attention can be placed on the cocktail creation!
"Nothing is more wintery and celebratory than a delicious cava and elderflower cocktail. The delicate flavours are fresh on the palette, and with just 3 ingredients it's quick and easy to make more when glasses are emptying. I'll be drinking these well into the New Year..."
