Wine & Food #5: Pinot Grigio, Garda D.O.C

When having a glass of wine with your dinner, you want to make sure it’s the best pairing possible to get to achieve an optimal flavour combination. A bad food and wine pairing can risk leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.

That’s why we’ve decided to create a cheat sheet of food and wine pairings you really can’t go wrong with. We will be working our way through our ranges, up next ....

The takeaway: Sushi

This might not be the first thing you think of when you're reaching for a glass of Pinot Grigio, but it really works! Fresh fish pairs perfectly with the lemon and high acid characterics of a Pinot Grigio, giving your sushi just the right amount of zing.

The homemade dish: Hearty Salad

A big hearty salad packed full of crisp green leaves, fresh cold vegetables, and lightly coated in a Caesar dressing is the ideal pairing for our Pinot Grigio. The fruity yet floral flavours and hints of citrus, mix flawlessly. Making this an all-around refreshing combo.

The light dinner: Seafood pasta

Through together a seafood pasta or risotto if you're feeling fancy! Don't squeeze a lemon on your dish, simply let our Pinot Grigio take over all citrus needs - you won't regret it.
